Brought this deal at groupon.sg. whereby adult is ONLY $75 for a 2 Day 1 night Batam City & Shopping Tour! Brought it a few months back and we booked for the weekend and yes its my baobei FIRST time taking ferry and to Batam!
this is our Itineraries for our 2 day trip:
Day 1
5am: Woke up!
6am: Leave our house!
7.15am: Reach the Penguin booth at Harbourfront
7.30am: Check in to ferry terminal
8.30am: Board our ferry!
9am: Reach Sekupang Ferry Terminal (Batam Time)
11am: 90min Traditional full body massage!(ya we had very early massage)
the rest of the timely i cant remember.
anyway, after our massage got some shops around went it to a Batik Factory Outlets and got myself a dress at $18! later on we went to Local Dry Market and got some snacks, they did ask if we wanted to go for Go-Kart Circuit Center for 10min at $15, i wanted to let my son go for it but my dear dear say it might be dangerous for kids as you may not know it their go-kart is in good condition a not.
Lunch at Golden Prawn 555 Restaurant for Seafood (they ALWAYS bring you there if you come with a tour to Batam) and the seafood is NOT really nice as always =( after that they bring us nearly walking distance to Beautiful Indonesia-Batam Miniature Park (the park is a synopsis of Indonesian culture, with virtually all aspects of daily life in Indonesia's 32 provinces encapsulated in separate pavilions with the collections of architecture, and traditions are all depicted impeccably.) follow by some Kuda Lumping Cultural Dance.
then after that we went to Polo Outlets, wanted to buy some shirts but don't have very nice design so didn't get any =( brought us to Thoa Pek Kong Chinese Temple, this want i didn't bother going in as i went before and im not into Chinese idols so i went walking around there and got some kueys and its nice can! Slurp!
Lastly they brought us to Batam City Square a shopping mall, manage to buy a shoe at RP 245,000(i think S$ around $38) Nothing much to shop too.. then they brought us to our hotel to check in at Grand Majesty Hotel.
i find that in this way they did the tour was great unlike some of the other tour i went before because for this want they actually bring u around on the first day instead of the second day. so that on the second day you can wake up later and can rest more rather then rushing.
last time the tour i went the first day is really nothing to do till evening time we went for our massage then the next day is the shopping trip.
oh by the way, im lucky that the rooms they gave us is FREE of cockroaches because i've read some reviewss saying that all level 5 rooms are FULL of them! and so SUAY they gave us level 5 room can! i was so scare loh! even before we went for the trip i already brought Baygon go there! so scare loh! once i went inside my room i quickly spray the whole room even inside the toilet with the Baygon. im VERY scare of COCKROACHES!!! heng i didnt SEE any of them if not i SURE cant sleep!
at night we got hungry and ordered room service =) machiam we very rich! hahahaha! i didnt want to order but my dear dear say its very cheap de, and i calculated and yeah indeed its CHEAP! so can order room service! my son wanted to eat spaghetti they don't have, wanted to order burgers also dont have, so many food they also dont have can! so end up we order some of they local dish.
Day 2
woke up and had a very PATHETIC breakfast can and its a 4 Star hotel! when we reach there MOST or should i say MOST of the food is GONE! we manage to grab some fried rice and a few curry chicken and you can see all the rest of the pots is EMPTY can! then we saw people queuing and saw that they were queuing for omelets that is the only food we can get! after that we saw them topping up some hash brows and we quickly grab them loh! really like kiasu Singaporean la but bo bian can, don't rush to get it no food to eat loh!
after our breakfast went back to our room to packed up and rest before they sent us to Batam Centre Mega mall for shopping. we were so sad before i know that Nagoya Shopping mall got sell A&W only so i thought that this shopping mall dont have BUT heng heng we walk around and saw them! so HAPPY loh! can eat my A&W!!! but the queue was MADNESS! so LONG loh, wat to do all the Singaporean wanna eat this too! after that we got really to check in and back to Singapore!
i think its a great trip for us and my son enjoyed it too!
Our Groupon deal which we brought. but for my son i only brought the child ticket at $45.

morning ask him go bath he having bubble bath in the bath tub can! when he saw me he so scare loh, faster wanna unplug the water so that it can drain off but end up he saw me smiling he smile back!
