after tt went to eat bak kut ten here not bad BUT 3 ppl eat nia, close to abt 20 bucks wor.. we jus order One Bak Kut Ten(very small bowl loh & its for 3 ppl de lei, lucky i dun eat the bak de loh), One salted Veg, One Pig kidney, 5 bowl of rice, One bowl of Yu Tao.. tts all wor..

Drop one tooth

guess wat?? my poor boy drop one of his front tooth today & he didnt kne it loh.. haha. he called me in the evening, suddenly telling me tt he drop his tooth & kept laughing.. faintzz

most kids they long time ago drop most of their milk teeth le but my boy nw then jus drop one..

i asked him he got keep the tooth a not, but he himself also dunno drop where wor.. spoke with his granny & she told me tt he might have drop in in sch, fetch him back fm sch, while talking to him then found out tt his tooth drop le.. so funny loh.. he no feel de loh, no bleeding or anything sia..

he said tt he jump then drop, haha. kids funny de la. dunno wat they are saying at times. i tok they got keep the tooth then i can take pic de loh.. nw cannot liao.. he drop dunno where sia..

but im very happy, tt he knws how to give me a call every now and then to chat with me, the feeling is so great.. at least i knw tt he haven forgotten me loh.. love u my bao bei.. cant wait to see him his wkend with his bo gar smile..

Tau Yu Bak (Braised Pork in Soy Sauce)

suddenly had craving for Tau Yu Bak.. it really reminds me of someone who is very dear to me whom took care of me since i was young but left to be with the lord when i was 15 yrs old. whenever i visited her she will cook nice food for me to eat, unless she is sick.

really regret not learning some of the food she cooked, as most are my favorites. know what, since she rip, i have not gone to visit her, didn't know where is her resting place. didn't dare to called them whom know where she was..

may god give me the strength to call them one day BUT not too long..

this are the ingredients for Tau Yu Bak (Braised Pork in Soy Sauce)



wat i did 1st was to steam the Chestnuts & boiled the eggs. ps: any amt u wan. BUT its best to buy ready peeled Chestnuts, as it really KILL me peeling the shells, it took me real long time.

Step 1: Cut the Pork Belly into slices, marinated them with pepper, light soy sauce & sugar. leave to rest for abt 5-10 mins.

Step 2: heat the pot, add some oil & fry some chop garlics together with the marinated pork belly.

Step 3: Wash the Mushrooms, shell the Eggs & pull all of them into the pot together with the pork belly. Ps: if you are using dry Mushrooms, do soak them 1st.

Step 4: then put the Pork Belly, Mushrooms, Eggs, Chestnuts & a whole Garlic into the pot, slow cooked them for a few hrs, so that all the favours will go into the ingredients. (Btw, the whole Garlic have to peel them 1st, b4 putting them all in)

Step 5: Done!! ready to eat.. Yummy!! ya i knw it look kinda oily, its becos of the pork belly..

Out with Bao bei / working

ytd after having my bath to get ready to bring my bao bei out, guess wat? my right eye de eye lashes drop le, actually for the past few days already gg to drop, finally it rip.. but heng not tt obvious.

went to Bugis as my dear son wanted to go to the kiddo arcade which is meant for little kids, he knows tt i wont bring him to the normal kind of arcade as its very loud & will damage his ear drums..

while sending him hm, he asked me to fix a toy car which he won playing in the arcade. i was actually already late for my work in the pub but i still tried my very best to fix it but i failed. when i said tt i really have to go, he was real sad becos i cant fix his car & also he kept asking me to stay with him.

heard fm his granny tt, after i left, he cried so badly becos he himself also cant fix the car, in the end, he asked his uncle tearful to help him fix & it turn out very nice..

after sending him hm, went to work. tell u sth, i lost my way to work.. haha. becos its my 1st time gg to work taking the train, plus i dunno how to walk there loh.. turn out i anyhow walk & finally reach safely with sweats.. hee

finally my spree has arrive in my hands, thanks to tt Chris ar.. he came to my pub..

my company really siao de lei.. mon holiday also never inform loh.. no wonder i keep hearing ppl say next mon holiday, i was thinking not tues meh..

turn out change to mon.. faintz. but at least they have to inform the worker de ma.. kns de. lucky ppl tell me sia, if not i mon come work like siao cha bo like tt.. keke.

plus hor, they funny de loh.. i got Childcare Leave de ma and when i take leave i got say y de loh. there is once i took leave to bring my son to the hospital de ma, then their leave form also never state anything, jus say take leave fm when to when nia lei..

kns, then later tell me i bo leave liao, minus me half day unpaid leave. But when i ask then she say y i never say im taking Childcare Leave.. faintzz.

i think work in small company is like tt de la.. cannot complaint too much.. i think im also at fault, i should have ask things too..

Korean BBQ / Pubbing

had dinner at Ju Shin Jung Korean Charcoal BBQ.. the place is nice & warm, quite a crowd over there too.. its my first time eating Korean BBQ too..

there were a la carte & bbq. but for bbq, min order is 2 dish.. so we order the following:

삼겹살 (SAMGYUB) S$22 (Fresh Pork belly: 200g)

갈비살 (GALBISAL) S$35 (Short-rib Boneless: 160g)

see here, there were like abt 10 different type of cold vegetables

tis is meant to wrap up the meat onto the cabbage & into ur mouth

we also ordered some cold noddle & soup..

비빔냉면(Binaeng) S$12 (Cold noodle / dry chilli)- tis not bad, but becos we had too much cold vegetables, was thinking tt we should not have order another cold dish too

갈비탕(Galbitang) S$15 (Clear beef-rib soup)-yummy soup


tis waitress is very kind, teaching us how to eat our food & telling us wat we asked her..
